Terms of Use

Last updated: 30 June 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Trapetum website and the Trapetum software (the "Service"), provided by neuralboot ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Trapetum is a tool that compresses and runs large language models locally on your own hardware. The current release is a free, time-limited beta version provided for evaluation. Future versions may be offered under a paid subscription.

2. Source-available software

The Trapetum engine is published on GitHub under the Business Source License 1.1, which keeps the source available for audit and internal use. Your use of that source code is governed by the license that ships with the repository. These Terms cover the website and the distributed builds; they do not restrict rights granted to you by the source-available license.

3. Acceptable use

4. Your data

The local server runs on your machine. Prompts and generated content are processed locally and are not sent to us. The website collects limited analytics only with your consent. See our Privacy Policy.

5. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. This is pre-release software. It may contain errors, may produce inaccurate output, and is not intended for safety-critical or production-critical use. You use it at your own risk.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neuralboot will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the Service. Because the current release is provided free of charge, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero.

7. Beta version expiry

The free beta version stops working after its expiry date. When it expires you will be asked to download a newer version. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and your use of the Service are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to the Service or to these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent French courts. Nothing in this clause deprives a consumer of the mandatory legal protections of their country of residence.
